How to Add Comments or Upload Files

Adding comments and uploading files directly into tasks keeps communication centralised and ensures all project assets are easy to find. This prevents long email chains and lost documents.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1 — Log In

  • Go to [projects.forgemarketing.com] or open the project management app.
  • Sign in with your Forge Marketing email and password.

Step 2 — Open the Task

  • Navigate to the correct Workspace and Board.
  • Click the task where you want to add a comment or file.

Step 3 — Add a Comment

  • Locate the Comments or Updates section.
  • Type your message clearly and professionally.
  • Use @mentions to tag team members (e.g., “@Sophie please review draft”).
  • Click Post to save your comment.

Step 4 — Upload Files

  • In the task details, click Attach File (or drag and drop into the file area).
  • Choose from:
    • Your computer (upload directly)
    • Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive (linked cloud storage)
    • Add a short description if helpful (e.g., “Final banner design v2”).

Step 5 — Confirm Upload

  • Ensure the file appears in the task’s Attachments section.
  • Notify your teammates via a quick comment if the file requires review.

Best Practices

  • Always upload the latest version of a file — label files with version numbers if needed (e.g., “ClientReport_v3”).
  • Keep comments concise, professional, and relevant to the task.
  • Use @mentions instead of email whenever possible to centralise communication.
